The Venice Beach House was one of the best places I have stayed in L.A.. - TravelPost
The breakfast was tasty and the ambiance was just perfect. It is my new home when visiting L.A. - Fodor's
The Venice Beach House is that wonderful, most unlikely kind of place rarely found in Southern California. - TravelPost

Mercedes Grill
Trendy restaurant that offers affordable Mediterranean and Cuban fusion food. Up early in the morning? The Grill opens every day at 7:30 a.m., so be sure to order one of their notoriously delicious omelets for a replenishing start to the day. The Mercedes Grill operating hours are longer than most eateries, making it perfect for not only breakfast but lunch and dinner as well. Whether it be fresh fish or the black beans, you will love the Cuban taste in a cozy restaurant just minutes from the beach. They offer “Real Bailout” prices during the Monday – Friday workweek, omelets are half-price between 8-9 a.m., salads are half-price from 1-2 p.m., and appetizers are half-price from 3-4 p.m. These times don’t work for you? Come in Monday – Friday from 4-7 p.m. for happy hour in which one can enjoy discounted appetizers, tacos, sushi, and drinks at an appetite and budget satisfying price.

Bin 73
This tasty wine bar open from afternoons until almost midnight is an intimate hangout for a small group. Bin 73 offers a great food menu but portions are small, so don’t come hungry. Instead, come thirsty for wines made in Napa and Sonoma Valley, Italy, and even New Zealand! Can’t decide? Bin 73 has an ongoing promotion offering 1 oz. of any bottle at any time for just $1. A glass or two, or any wine pairs great with “Goat Cheese & Crushed Rolled Grapes”.

The options are endless at Gjelina, an American cuisine with a local flair. Order any pizza (we recommend the Squash Blossom) or truffle pasta and your taste buds will be sent out of this world! There are many vegetarian options, including kale salad, seared okra, or grilled nectarines, but no matter what you choose, no one leaves dissatisfied. Make sure to leave room for the Butterscotch Pot de creme dessert that will literally be a sweet ending to your visit.

Joe’s Restaurant
Joe’s yellow painted exterior creates a cozy ambiance before you even walk inside, only to be greeted by the friendly waitresses and busboy who offers customers 3 different kinds of bread. This restaurant and its delicious selection of French-American cuisine is one of the oldest and most prestigious in Venice! There are slightly more options on the dinner menu, as Joe’s is primarily open in the evening, and there are a number of dishes that include fresh fish from the sea (such as, our favorite, the grilled octopus). Joe’s also offers a unique Beef Tartare, or for the vegetarians at the table, an exquisite Wild Mushroom Ravioli. For desert, the Passion Fruit Panna Cotta is to die for- a hibiscus sorbet complemented by roasted pistachios and coconut snow. Joe’s is definitely a must-have experience when in the area for dinner.

The Tasting Kitchen
The Kitchen is a very popular spot for brunch, where many hungry customers stop to order chicken and waffles and enjoy the homey atmosphere. In the mood for something less casual? A few favorites of the Tasting Kitchen are the clams with chorizo, the Lasagnette Bolognese, and the succulent beef marrow bones. The name speaks for itself- “The Tasting Kitchen” is a restaurant where essentially everything on the menu needs to be tasted because it’s so delicious! Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are both served but there is no happy hour. Also, we recommend making a reservation as it is a popular place.
